Ancient Wine Ancient Faith – Nov 9th

A Tour of Georgian Wine at Holy Archangels

Join us for an afternoon of discovery and celebration as we explore the history and elegance of Georgian wine in honor of Holy Archangels Mission’s 7th Patronal Feast.

Georgia, the country not the state, is widely recognized to be the oldest wine making region with over 8,000 years of continuous wine making tradition. Our very own, Noel Brockett from Georgian Wine House will be with us to guide us through a flight of six Georgian wines, including some made in the oldest known method. He will talk about many aspects of the wines as well as the role and history the Church has played and is playing to preserve Georgian wine traditions. If you know nothing about wine, do not be intimidated! The event is geared to novices and afficianado’s alike.

A flight of six wines and paired with Hors d’oeuvres (including some Georgian food) will be served.

The Holy Archangels bookstore will also be open with special sale pricing.
